In honor of Danielle's Birthday

It's so hard because there won't be any new pictures of her.

Just the ones we already have.

We'll all get older, over the years, in all our new pictures, but she won't.
She'll always only age from baby to 36, in the pictures. In this life. In the pictures we have.

I heard this beautiful song a few weeks ago and thought of my sister Danielle... and then I wanted to see her pictures, and I wished so much that we were making new memories, taking new pictures... together.

But instead, I put the pictures we do have, the only ones we'll have, to that song.

Mother's Day 2010

My sweet sister,

We gathered there, at your headstone, on Mother's Day 2010, but we know you're not there.

You're HERE. All around us. Always.

Watching over your children, watching over ALL of us. You're all around us, and yet, on Mother's Day 2010, three years to the day of your passing, we gathered there. At your headstone.

We spoke of you, we thought of you, we remembered you. Jonah brought you another one of his wrestling medals (there are 3 of them there now!)

We laughed and we cried, but most of all, we were FAMILY. There. Gathered in your memory. Always.

Nine years ago today our Beautiful Grandmother Rae passed away. She's in heaven now and I know that you are with her, Danielle.

Dear Family,

I'm putting the ORIGINAL TRIBUTE VIDEO to Danielle up here.
It's the one you all loved so much, with the great song, that YouTube and Facebook made me take down, because of the song.

So, I'm rebelling and putting it up here. Hopefully they won't find me.

I know Danielle would have loved this song and I know she loves the fact that we all have watched all these videos and are keeping her alive in our hearts and thoughts!

It was great to be with you guys today and as we all know, we are a broken (but healing) group, a family without their sister, daughter, mother and friend.

Love to all of you... and to our Danielle!! Many more videos in all the years ahead... keeping her with us.
